By tradition, Gweek Silver Band always venture out at 10am on Christmas morning to play carols at various spots around the village. In fact, this was the first public appearance by the band when they formed in 1926.
The regular band members are accompanied by ex-members, plus friends from other bands in the area.
Naturally, the band ends up in the Gweek Inn - merely to warm themselves by the fire and entertain the customers, of course.
Unfortunately, this year we were without a conductor and numbers of players were down a little on previous years. But thanks to the Ferris and Green families returning home, and Clive King counting us in, we coped!
